About the CompanyOur client is a leading engineering and fabrication specialist, providing bespoke mechanical services, precision ductwork, and metal fabrication solutions for clients in sectors including aerospace, automotive, marine, medical, and food processing. With a growing portfolio of complex and high-value projects, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple contracts, ensuring operational, commercial, and client service excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesSkills & Experience Required
Take overall responsibility for the management and delivery of multiple mechanical and fabrication contracts.
Oversee project delivery teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, and subcontractors.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client and company quality standards.
Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for commercial, operational, and contractual matters.
Monitor contract performance, progress reporting, and financial control.
Lead project review meetings, resource planning, and risk management processes.
Manage procurement schedules, labour allocation, and subcontractor performance.
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met across all sites.
Oversee project variations, commercial negotiations, and final account agreements.
Support business development by identifying opportunities for repeat business and contract extensions.
Desirable Qualifications
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the mechanical, ductwork, or building services sector.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services and fabrication projects.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, variations, and contractual negotiations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Strong IT and reporting skills.
Full UK driving licence.
