Job description
We are seeking a highly driven, ambitious and commercially astute Commercial Development Manager to lead growth within the public sector and commercial pipeline. This is a pivotal role focused on building strong client relationships, identifying opportunities early, and driving the promotion and successful award of contracts across decarbonisation and large-scale retrofit projects.
You will take ownership of business development activity across education, healthcare, local authorities and housing associations, working closely with technical and bid teams to secure new work in engineering services, project management, mechanical & electrical contracting, and sustainable building solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy across public sector frameworks and commercial opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams
- Identify and develop new leads through networking, research and industry engagement
- Manage the full sales pipeline including meetings, follow-ups, KPIs and forecasting
- Collaborate with internal teams to support high-quality bid submissions and improve win rates
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, market intelligence and performance
About You
You will have a proven track record of winning public sector or construction-related contracts, with strong knowledge of procurement processes and established industry contacts. You are confident managing complex sales cycles, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering measurable growth.What's on Offer
