Construction Jobs ⫽ Carpenter
Carpenters work with timber to construct, install, and repair structures and fittings on site. This includes framing, floors, doors, roofing, and occasionally more detailed joinery. The role involves reading technical drawings, measuring materials accurately, and working with a range of hand and power tools. Work is often outdoors or in partially built environments. NVQs, apprenticeships, or on-site experience can help you get started. Carpentry suits those who are detail-focused, practical, and comfortable working physically across different types of construction projects, from housing and commercial developments to renovation and refurbishment work.
