Senior Site Engineer- £390-£410 Per Day DOE (Outside IR35)- Leiston, Suffolk
The Role
Are you an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership on site? Do you have strong setting out skills and the confidence to guide teams through complex civil projects?
We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join a growing team delivering major infrastructure works in Leiston. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly, safely and to a high standard. You will manage day-to-day site engineering activities and be involved in setting out, quality assurance and supporting site teams with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out accurate setting out in line with design drawings
- Produce and maintain as-built surveys and site records
- Complete QA documentation and inspection records
- Supervise site activities to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Keep daily site diaries and track progress
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and designers
- Resolve technical queries quickly and effectively
- Support the preparation of Health & Safety file information
- Create and update drawings using AutoCAD
- Provide technical support to site teams

The Person
To succeed as a Senior Site Engineer, you will need:
- Proven experience in a Senior Site Engineer or Site Engineer role
- Strong setting out skills using Total Stations and GPS
- Experience with as-built records and QA processes
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Understanding of construction methods and specifications
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Knowledge of site health and safety requirements
- Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent experience)
- Valid MAPs (Managers and Professionals HSE Test) certification
