Job description
Are you a Contract Manager working in the Commercial FM or Engineering Maintenance sector, looking for an exciting new role with a rapidly growing company across the South West and South Wales?
This national Facilities Services provider is recruiting a Senior Contract Manager to oversee a new portfolio of Commercial Office Contracts. The role is based in the Bristol office, with some remote working options. Candidates should ideally live within 50 miles of Bristol.
The Role
As Senior Contract Manager, you will:
· Support the Operations Director with day-to-day management of a new account, while occasionally assisting with other contracts
· Manage a team of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, Electricians, Commercial Gas Engineers, Carpenters, and Plumbers covering planned and reactive maintenance
· Focus on customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and highlighting opportunities for small/minor works to improve building efficiency
· Act as the key client contact, developing relationships and maximising service delivery
Key Responsibilities
· Assist the Regional Director with daily operations of the new account
· Manage a team of supervisors and engineers, ensuring efficient delivery of services
· Oversee contract budgets, including P&L management
· Introduce cost-saving initiatives to maintain profitability and reduce environmental impact
· Ensure delivery of all SLAs and KPIs, monitoring performance and reporting on data
· Monitor compliance, quality, safety, and environmental standards (QSHE) across all contracts
· Audit completed and in-progress works
· Attend client meetings and act as the primary point of contact
· Deliver operational efficiencies, including energy-saving initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
· Hands-on engineering background within FM or Engineering Maintenance
· Proven experience managing services across multiple sites
· Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
· Excellent team leadership skills
· Health & Safety competency
· Client-focused with the ability to develop relationships and identify growth opportunities
· Experience in business development is highly desirable
