Overview
As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a key senior appointment within our business strategy and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the estimating department and play a vital role in our ongoing success.With a strong pipeline of tender enquiries, frameworks, and repeat clients, this role will involve managing tenders of varying sizes and roofing disciplines, requiring both technical expertise and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full estimating process across multiple roofing projects.
- Prepare accurate costings, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and attend client meetings as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Consultation, Operations, and Commercial to ensure robust and competitive bids.
- Utilise estimating software (EQUE2 Evaluate) and internal systems to prepare and manage submissions.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide support during pre-contract stages.
- Work under deadlines while managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Estimator (roofing industry experience preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of roofing methods and materials.
- Proactive approach to tendering and pre-contract duties.
- Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
- Previous use of estimating software (EQUE2 Evaluate desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively under time pressures.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
