The Opportunity A leading specialist subcontractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Operating across some of London's most prestigious projects, this business delivers technically complex stone masonry, façade, restoration, and heritage schemes. This is a hands-on role for a commercially strong QS with at least 5-6 years' post-grad experience. You'll be managing packages independently, liaising closely with project teams and clients, and driving commercial performance across specialist subcontract works. Key Responsibilities
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Preparing tender documentation and analysing returns
- Managing budgets, forecasts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Attending client, commercial, and project coordination meetings
- Supporting CVRs, reporting cycles, and commercial strategy with the Commercial Director
About the Company A respected and long-established specialist subcontractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality stone masonry, restoration, and façade projects across London. They have a strong pipeline of work on landmark schemes and are known for technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaborative project delivery. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5-6 years' post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying
- Background in a specialist subcontractor (e.g. curtain walling, dry lining, carpentry, cladding, or similar)
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage responsibility independently
- Looking for a permanent role (not freelance)
