As our business continues to grow, we are seeking high-performing Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and commercially minded project professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career.
This is an opportunity for ambitious UK based professionals to join a growing Australian led consultancy with genuine international career pathways. Initial opportunities are expected to be based across South East Asia, with the potential to transition into future roles in Australia, including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
You will also be joining a business that already has a strong team of UK trained Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals. Many of our people have made the move from the UK into Australia and Asia, so you will be joining colleagues who understand the transition, the market and the opportunities available.
About the role
We are looking for capable, driven and commercially astute Quantity Surveyors who can support our clients through the full project lifecycle, from procurement and tendering through to contract administration, cost management, claims assessment, reporting and final account close out.
You will work closely with MBB's senior leadership team and our clients across major infrastructure, renewable energy, hyperscale data and commercial development sectors. The role will suit someone who is confident engaging with contractors, consultants and client side teams, and who is comfortable operating in fast paced project environments.
Depending on your experience, you may be involved in:
- Cost planning, estimating and commercial reporting
- Procurement strategy and tender evaluation
- Contract administration and subcontract management
- Preparation and assessment of payment claims
- Variation, EOT and claims assessment
- Forecasting, cost control and project financial reporting
- Commercial risk identification and mitigation
- Final account negotiation and close-out
- Supporting client-side project management and advisory teams
- Working with contractors, developers, government agencies and private sector clients
Who we are looking for
We are seeking high-quality commercial operators who are professional, proactive and ready to build an international career.
You may currently be working as a:
- Quantity Surveyor
- Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Commercial Manager
- Contract Administrator
- Cost Consultant
- Project Commercial Lead
- Claims or Commercial Consultant
You will ideally bring:
- A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working on infrastructure, energy, transport, data centre, utilities, building or major development projects
- Strong commercial, contractual and analytical skills
- Experience with NEC, JCT, FIDIC, Australian Standard contracts or other major project contract forms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with clients, contractors and project teams
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
- A willingness to relocate or work internationally
- High standards, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Experience in renewable energy, hyperscale data centres, infrastructure, transport or major civil projects will be highly regarded.
