Job Title: Plumber (CIS Contract)
Location: Reading and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday to Friday / 40+ hours per weekAbout Us:
We are a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering high-quality installation and maintenance services across commercial, industrial, and residential projects throughout the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking an experienced Plumber to join our team on a CIS basis in the Reading area.The Role:
Working on a variety of commercial and residential projects, you will be responsible for carrying out first and second fix plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard. You will work independently and as part of a wider site team, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of hot and cold-water systems
- First and second fix plumbing works
- Sanitary ware installation and maintenance
- Testing and commissioning of plumbing systems
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and industry standards
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
- Identifying and reporting defects or issues promptly
- Liaising with site management and other trades
- Ensuring projects are completed within agreed timescales
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Accurately completing site paperwork and job reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Plumber
- Valid Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card or JIB Plumbing Card (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of current plumbing regulations and standards
- Own tools and PPE
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Reliable, professional, and capable of working independently
