Role: Plumber / Pipefitter
Location: AWE Aldermaston
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9-hour days
Rate: £25.00 per hour

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team on a long-term project at AWE Aldermaston. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile and secure site, working within a professional team environment.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of plumbing and pipefitting duties, with a strong focus on copper and Mapress installation within both office spaces and a learning block. The work is predominantly 1st and 2nd fix plumbing, with an emphasis on high standards and quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of copper pipework using Mapress press-fitting systems
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete installations
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow and integration
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (Plumber or Pipefitter designation)
- Proven experience working with Copper and Mapress systems
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong understanding of site safety requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator
PPE Requirements:
- Standard PPE including Hi-Vis clothing, safety boots, hard hat, gloves, and eye protection

Location Note:
AWE Aldermaston is a secure site. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and may be subject to basic security clearance. Preference will be given to those with prior experience working on similar secure or MOD sites.
