Job Title: Site Supervisor (Mechanical) - Quality Control Focus
Location: Aldermaston
Contract Length: 12 months minimum (likely extended)
Hours: 9 hours per day
Rate: Negotiable
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with a strong mechanical background and proven quality control knowledge to join our client's team on a major project. This role is pivotal in ensuring all site works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Carry out inspections, document progress, and complete quality records.
- Sign off completed works and ensure accurate reporting/documentation.
- Support the implementation of the project's quality plan and procedures.
- Liaise with subcontractors, engineers, and the client to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Provide clear daily briefings and maintain site records.
- Assist with audits, snagging, and handover processes.
Requirements
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential).
- Strong mechanical background with site supervision experience.
- Solid knowledge of quality control processes and documentation.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and safety-conscious approach.
