Job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Non-Working Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical subcontractors on a commercial warehouse fit-out project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of mechanical trades, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the project programme.
Duties include:
- Supervising and coordinating mechanical subcontractors.
- Overseeing plumbing, pipework, HVAC and associated mechanical installations.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Coordinating mechanical works with the Main Contractor and other trades.
- Monitoring progress, labour and programme.
- Carrying out quality inspections and managing snagging.
- Ensuring subcontractors comply with RAMS, site procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Attending site meetings and providing progress updates.
- Identifying and resolving site issues.
- Supporting testing, commissioning and handover.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' mechanical supervision experience.
- Strong commercial/industrial mechanical background.
- Previous experience supervising subcontractors.
- Warehouse, industrial or commercial fit-out experience preferred.
- SMSTS - Essential.
- CSCS/JIB or relevant site card - Essential.
- First Aid - Desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, pipework and plumbing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
