Job Title: Gold Carded Electricians & Electrical Improvers - Education Project
Location: Derby, UK
Duration: 3 Months

Positions & Pay Rates

Gold Carded Electricians (JIB Approved): £25 per hour

Electrical Improvers: £19 per hour

We are urgently recruiting Gold Carded Electricians and Electrical Improvers for a major education-sector installation project in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established M&E contractor on a large-scale school refurbishment.

Please note: A valid Enhanced DBS is mandatory for all applicants. Candidates without this cannot be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

· 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations

· Cable pulling, terminations, and assisting with testing

· Installation of containment systems including tray, trunking, and conduit

· Supporting senior electricians on site

· Adhering to strict health & safety protocols on an active educational site

All Applicants Must Have:

· A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (must be current and valid for education settings)

· Own tools and PPE

· A professional, reliable attitude and the ability to work well in a team

Gold Carded Electricians:

· JIB Gold Card (essential)

· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

· ECS card with relevant endorsements

· Experience on school or commercial projects preferred

Electrical Improvers:

· ECS Card (essential)

· Level 2 or 3 Electrical qualification (preferred)

· Proven experience supporting electrical installations

Additional Information

· Working Hours: 45-50 hours per week

· Overtime opportunities available
