Job description
Are you a Fire and Security Engineer based in South Devon, looking for a new role with one of the UK's leading service providers?
This well-established company specialises in facilities service and maintenance for commercial properties across South Devon and Cornwall. Following the award of a new contract, they are now recruiting a Fire and Security Engineer to join their team.
The Role
As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Carrying out planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive works for fire alarms, security systems, and CCTV
· Supporting minor M&E repairs and small fire, security, and CCTV projects to a high standard
· Working in accordance with SFG20 or manufacturer recommendations
· Ensuring all work adheres to NSI and BAFE standards, company safety procedures, contract specifications, and the Health & Safety at Work Act
· Responding to reactive maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and minor building fabric issues
· Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota, as required
· Completing all paperwork correctly and on time, including logbook audits, engineering condition reports, and quotations
· Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service
Candidate Requirements
· Minimum trade qualifications in Fire and Security Systems
· Electrical competency and valid certification in primary trade
· Fire Alarm, CCTV, and Security system certifications for maintenance and testing
· Ability to deliver work to a high standard while demonstrating service excellence
· Proactive attitude with a basic understanding of other building trades
