Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Based in Southeast / London area - mobile/onsite
£32k to £42k depending on experience

The role:
The purpose of this role is to have responsibility for delivering a fully compliant Fire Alarm System Service delivery for a growing service delivery business which aim to be the best in market. The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be customer focused, be electrically experienced with a range of fire detection systems and auxiliary equipment and most importantly be flexible in their approach to work.

As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will provide Service and commission activities to life safety systems and carry out remedial repairs in a variety of sites accordingly.
• Carry out all Service Inspection in accordance with company procedures and system requirements
• Ensure all Service Inspection work is carried out to a high standard within agreed timescales
• Resolve issues that may arise by identifying problems and finding resources to offer solutions
• Report any deviation between installed system and specification to your supervisor and or Manager
• Ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time. This includes site paperwork, expense forms & timesheets
• Champion a health and safety culture to ensure the safety and wellbeing oneself, colleagues, and customers on site
• Excellent customer service.
• Use of laptops for fire systems
• Broad industry knowledge of both products and standards
• Ability to take responsibility
• Calm under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise
• Good face-to-face interaction with customers
• Excellent time management
Education/Experience/Qualifications.
• At least experience in Conventional Fire Detection Systems and Analogue Addressable Systems.
• Experience in Air Sampling Systems. (Vesda / Wagner)
• Experience in Gas Suppression Systems.
• Good working knowledge of BS 5839-1 & 6 :2025.
• Good working knowledge of fire alarm software (Morley/Kentec/Advanced - Some Notifier & Gent)
• Must have full UK driving licence.
• Industry on the job experience is essential.
• Fully qualified installation engineers will be considered for this role.
• Electricians with experience of fire alarm installations will be considered.
• Must be prepared to work away as when required.
• Experience in following Job actions closely. Minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role.
• CSCS / ECS card preferably FIA.
• Substantial quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role, with previous experience in Fire Alarm Installation and Commissioning delivery.
• Experience in following Rams closely.
• Engineers will be required to work on retail & commercial premises.
Training will be provided where required/role dependent - but the following would be considered highly advantageous:
• City & Guilds 186 - Fire Systems.
• F.I.A./ Service / Commissioning or similar.
• CCNSG or equivalent
• Asbestos awareness
• Silica awareness
• Manual handling
• Ladder training
• IPAF
• PASMA
