Fisher Civils are recruiting!
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join a well established & expanding Civil Engineering business in Hampshire
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, Groundworks and construction estimating, with the ability to accurately prepare competitive tenders, cost plans, and detailed estimates for a range of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Support the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases.
About You
- Proven experience as an Estimator.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering & Groundworks methods and costs.
- Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
- Confident negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
