Job description

Duct Improver / Duct Mate / Labourer Required - Cambridge (CB22)

We are currently looking for experienced Duct Improvers, Duct Mates, and Labourers for an exciting commercial project in Cambridge (CB22).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team on a busy site, with an immediate start and competitive hourly rates.

Job Details

Location: Cambridge, CB22

Start Date: Tuesday, 11th August 2026

Duration: 4 Weeks

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30 - 16:00
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• 8-hour working day

Pay Rates

• Duct Improver: £20.00 per hour
• Duct Mate / Labourer: £17.00 per hour

Scope of Works

You will be assisting with the installation of galvanized ductwork on a commercial construction project. Duties may include:

• Installing and assisting with galvanized ductwork.
• Supporting duct fitters and site supervisors.
• Moving and preparing materials.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Working efficiently as part of a professional installation team.

Requirements

Duct Improver

• Blue or Green CSCS Card.
• IPAF Certificate (essential).
• Previous ductwork installation experience.
• Full PPE.
• Own hand tools.

Duct Mate / Labourer

• Green CSCS Card.
• Previous construction or ductwork experience preferred.
• Full PPE.
• Own basic tools.

Applicants must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working safely on a busy construction site.
