Job description

DUCT FITTER & DUCT MATE REQUIRED - CHELMSFORD

Start Date: 24th August 2026
Duration: 6-8 Weeks
Location: Chelmsford
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00
Working Day: 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break

Positions Available

We are currently looking for experienced Duct Fitters and Duct Mates for an upcoming commercial project in Chelmsford, starting Monday 24th August 2026.

This is a great opportunity for reliable and experienced tradespeople looking for a 6-8 week contract, working Monday to Friday on a consistent daytime schedule.

Rates

• Duct Fitter: £28.00 per hour
• Duct Mate: £17.00 per hour

Scope of Work

The project will involve the installation and fitting of galvanized ductwork.

Applicants should have relevant experience in ductwork installation and be confident working as part of a professional site team. Duct Fitters should be capable of carrying out ductwork installation to a high standard, while Duct Mates should be competent in assisting fitters with the installation, handling and preparation of ductwork and associated materials.

Requirements

Duct Fitters must have:

• Blue CSCS Card with Ductwork Installation stated on the reverse
• Relevant ductwork installation experience
• Full PPE
• Own tools suitable for the role
• Ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a site team

Duct Mates must have:

• Green CSCS Card
• Relevant site/ductwork experience
• Full PPE
• Own tools where required for the position
• A reliable and professional approach to work

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday
07:30-16:00
8-hour working days
30-minute lunch break

The contract is expected to run for approximately 6-8 weeks, subject to project requirements.
