Job description
JOB OPPORTUNITY - DUCT FITTER & DUCT MATE
Location: Cambridge
Start Date: 16th November 2026
Duration: 6-7 Weeks
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
Scope of Work: Galvanized Ductwork InstallationRobert Hurst Ltd is currently seeking experienced Duct Fitters and Duct Mates for an upcoming project in Cambridge, starting on 16th November 2026. The project is expected to run for approximately 6-7 weeks, offering competitive hourly rates for suitable candidates.
Positions Available & Pay Rates
Duct Fitter - £28.00 per hour
- Valid Blue or Gold CSCS Card with Ductwork Installation qualification.
- Proven experience in galvanized ductwork installation.
- Ability to read and follow drawings and installation specifications.
- Competent in fitting and installing ductwork safely and efficiently.
Duct Mate - £17.00 per hour
- Valid Green CSCS Card.
- Previous experience assisting with ductwork installation preferred.
- Able to support duct fitters with the handling, positioning and installation of galvanized ductwork.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 - 16:00
- 30-minute lunch break
- 8 working hours per day
Requirements
- Relevant CSCS card for the position applied for.
- Full PPE.
- Own tools required for the role.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in commercial ductwork installation is desirable.

Successful candidates will be working on galvanized ductwork installation in Cambridge. This is a great opportunity for skilled Duct Fitters and hardworking Duct Mates looking for a short-term project with competitive hourly rates and consistent weekday working hours.
