Job Title: Ductwork Fitter & Mate (Duct Pair)
Location: Ilford, London
Start Date: 22/09/2025
Duration:
- 22/09/25: 1 day - Strip-out work
- 2 week gap for demolition/internal wall works
- Return: Approx. 08/10/25 for 7 days ductwork installation
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 10-hour days
Rates:
- Fitter: £28.00 per hour
- Mate: £16.25 per hour
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced ductwork fitter & mate (duct pair) for a short-term commercial project in Ilford, London.Scope of Work:
- 22/09/25: 1-day strip-out of existing ductwork
- 2 week: Demolition and internal wall works (by others)
- From 08/10/25: Approx. 7 days installation of new galvanised ductwork (rectangular and spiral)
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip-out of old duct systems
- Install galvanised ductwork to specification
- Interpret and follow technical drawing
- Maintain tidy and safe work areas
- Work efficiently as a two-person team to meet deadlines
Requirements
Fitter:
- Blue CSCS Card (valid)
- IPAF (preferred)
- Own tools and full PPE
- Experience with rectangular and spiral ductwork
- Ability to work independently and lead a mate
Mate:
- Green CSCS Card (valid)
- Full PPE
- Basic hand tools (preferred)
- Previous experience assisting with ductwork installations (preferred)
