We are a well-established Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist based in the North West, providing intelligent building solutions that enhance energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational control. Our expertise spans a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities. As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we're expanding our presence in the South of the UK and are seeking a skilled BMS Engineer to join our team in this region.
The Role
In this remote, field-based position, you'll be responsible for delivering BMS services-including design, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support-across projects and service contracts in the South of England. You'll be instrumental in supporting our growing client base while collaborating with colleagues at our head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain BMS systems including RDM (Resource Data Management), as well as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, and others.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across a variety of BMS installations.
- Provide expert technical support and develop effective solutions to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with our head office and project teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Produce clear technical documentation such as commissioning reports, system schematics, and O&M manuals.
- Adhere to all company procedures, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a BMS engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with RDM systems is essential.
- Familiarity with other platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, or Schneider is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and energy management principles.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both for client engagement and team collaboration.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering).
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- Experience with smart building technologies, IoT systems, or energy optimisation solutions.
- Valid CSCS / ECS card or equivalent health and safety certification.
