Associate Building SurveyorLocation: Bristol / South West
OverviewWe are looking for an Associate Building Surveyor to join a growing consultancy team in Bristol. The role will involve a mix of office and site-based work, focusing on building inspections, contract administration, reporting and remediation projects, particularly within residential and high-rise buildings.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to step into a more senior role with strong career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed building inspections and surveys.
- Identify defects and produce clear technical reports with remedial recommendations.
- Manage projects from pre-contract through to completion.
- Prepare specifications, contracts and tender documentation.
- Chair site meetings and undertake regular site inspections.
- Administer contracts, valuations, certificates and final accounts.
- Manage multiple projects and coordinate consultants and contractors.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Building Surveying or similar construction discipline.
- Professional qualification (e.g. RICS).
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Fire Safety legislation.
- Proven experience in building pathology.
- Confident in contract administration and report writing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Employer's Agent or Project Monitoring experience.
- Experience on high-rise residential or remediation projects.
