Job description
Approved Electrician - Healthcare Project Role OverviewWe are currently looking for experienced Approved Electricians to join a major healthcare project. The successful candidates will be carrying out a range of installation works as part of a commercial electrical team, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Duties IncludeEssential Requirements
- First fix electrical installations.
- Installation of containment systems where required.
- Installation and termination of lighting circuits and lighting fixtures.
- Heavy cable pulling and cable installation.
- Working from drawings and electrical schematics.
- Ensuring all work complies with current wiring regulations (BS7671).
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
- Working efficiently within a team to meet programme deadlines.
Desirable
- Gold ECS Card (Approved Electrician).
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- AM2 Qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Previous experience on commercial or healthcare projects.
- Experience with:
- First fix installations.
- Lighting installation.
- Heavy cable pulling.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Own tools and full PPE.
- Good communication skills and reliable attendance.
- Previous NHS or healthcare project experience.
- IPAF (3a & 3b).
- Manual Handling.
- Asbestos Awareness.
