Job description
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Approved Electrician to carry out electrical installation work, with a primary focus on trunking, cable containment systems, and 1st/2nd fix duties in commercial or industrial settings.
You'll be responsible for installing, inspecting, and testing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of metal trunking, conduit, tray, and basket containment systems.
- Cable pulling, glanding, and terminations.
- First and second fix electrical work in commercial/industrial settings.
- Fault-finding and repairs.
- Adhering to electrical regulations and health & safety practices.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Working independently or as part of a team on-site.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (for testing and inspection - desirable).
- Proven experience in trunking and containment work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Valid driving licence (desirable for mobile roles)
