Job description
We are seeking an experienced plumber to work on a new-build apartment development. The role involves carrying out all plumbing works associated with 1st fix and 2nd fix installations, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with current regulations, drawings, and site schedules.
Key Responsibilities 1st Fix Duties
- Installation of hot and cold water pipework
- Installation of soil, waste, and vent pipe systems
- Running pipework within floors, walls, and service risers
- Installing pipe brackets, clips, and insulation
- Pressure testing pipework and rectifying any leaks
- Coordinating with site management and other trades
2nd Fix Duties
- Installing sanitaryware (toilets, basins, baths, shower trays)
- Fitting taps, mixers, wastes, and traps
- Connecting appliances (e.g. washing machines, dishwashers where required)
- Installing radiators and towel rails (if applicable)
- Final connection and testing of all plumbing systems
- Snagging and rectification of defects prior to handover
Requirements
- Proven experience working on new-build residential projects
- Competent in both 1st and 2nd fix plumbing
- Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and standards
- Own tools and PPE
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications (Preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- CSCS/JIB card
- Water Regulations qualification (desirable)
