JOB OPPORTUNITY - 3 x Metal Laggers (Insulation Engineers)
Location: Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, with initial week in Exeter
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 1 Month (with potential for extension)
Rate: £25+ per hour
Hours: 7 days x 12-hour shifts per week
Vacancy Reference: CON-35852We are currently seeking three experienced Metal Laggers to join a fast-paced insulation project at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, working on a critical healthcare infrastructure upgrade.
This is a short-term but intensive contract offering competitive rates, substantial hours, and the opportunity to work with a skilled, professional team on a high-profile site.
Role Details
As a Metal Lagger, your primary responsibilities will include:
· Installing foil-faced phenolic insulation on both pipework and ductwork
· Fitting aluzinc cladding to insulated systems
· Working efficiently in a hospital environment where precision and cleanliness are essential
· Adhering to health & safety protocols and project specifications
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
· Valid CSCS card (essential)
· Previous experience in pipe and duct lagging, especially with phenolic insulation and metal cladding
· Own basic tools and PPE
· Willingness to spend the first week in Exeter before transitioning to the main project in Plymouth
Working Hours
· 7 days per week (12-hour shifts) - ideal for those looking to maximise earnings
· Overtime or weekend rates may be discussed based on performance and site demand
