Robert Hurst Group: Mechanical Engineer - Static Site Role
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Ongoing
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
Pay Rate: Competitive - Based on Experience

Robert Hurst Group looking for a reliable and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a static site based in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a hands-on, fault-finding role focused on maintaining and repairing 4-5 key machines on-site.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently with a consistent daily routine and is looking for long-term stability with the potential for a permanent role.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Blue or Gold CSCS card (required)
  • IPAF (preferred)
  • Proven experience with:
    • Testing and inspections
    • Belt changing and pulley alignment
    • Oil changes
    • Pneumatic pipework and valve systems
    • Fan systems including belt drive and direct drive
    • Coupling and driven systems
    • Preventative plant maintenance
    • General industrial project work
