Key Responsibilities
• Support in developing and maintaining ESG's Safety, Health & Wellbeing policies

• Assist in providing basic HSW advice to ESG staff and subcontractors as directed.
• Learn to carry out safety audits and inspections on-site and help in the preparation

• Shadow experienced advisors in liaising with Principal Contractors and project
teams.
• Help monitor site safety practices, noting areas for improvement and learning about
corrective measures.
• Assist in incident investigations and contribute to the development of preventive
actions.
• Take part in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and training sessions.
• Attend CPD events, workshops, and briefings to build knowledge of safety
legislation and good practice.
• Gain familiarity with ESG's IT systems for document management, project folders,
and templates.
• Learn about quality standards and document control processes within ESG.
Candidate Requirements
• Passionate about building a career in health, safety, and wellbeing.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic construction environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding or interest in health and safety regulations.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to follow guidance.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Commitment to professional development.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Studying towards or recently completed a relevant qualification (e.g. NEBOSH
General Certificate or equivalent).
• Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Any previous exposure to construction or site work (through education, work
experience, or placements) is a plus.
What We Offer
• On-the-job training and mentorship from senior HSW professionals.
• Opportunities for progression and professional accreditation support.
• A collaborative, safety-first culture where your contributions matter.
• Exposure to real-world construction projects and industry best practice.
