Job description

We are currently looking for a Structural Steel Site Manager for a Temp-to-Perm position based in East London. This role involves overseeing the installation of structural steelwork on high-profile projects, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and to the required specifications.

Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £300.00 per day
Hours: 07:30AM - 05:30PM
Contract: Temp-to-Perm

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day site operations for structural steel erection in East London.

Supervise personnel and subcontractors to ensure work meets design and programme specifications.

Ensure strict adherence to RAMS, lifting plans, and health & safety regulations (CDM 2015, LOLER).

Oversee steel deliveries, storage, and safe handling of materials.

Maintain detailed site records (daily diaries, permits, inspection documentation).

Liaise with Tier 1 main contractors, site engineers, and client representatives.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel site management.

Valid SMSTS (Essential).

Black or Gold CSCS Card (Manager/Supervisor level) (Essential).

Ability to interpret structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.

Full UK Driving Licence and ability to commute across East London sites.

Experience with Appointed Person (Lifting Ops) or Temporary Works is highly desirable.
