Job description

A leading structural steel specialist is currently looking for a permanent Steel Detailer (Hot Rolled) to create and develop 3D structural models, produce fabrication and site installation drawings, and liaise with design teams and fabricators in West Midlands.

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Duties:

• Create and develop 3D structural models in Tekla Structures/StruCAD
• Produce and issue general arrangement drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, and site installation drawings
• Issue supporting CAM/NC data to fabrication in accordance with internal procedures
• Generate accurate material lists and bolt schedules
• Liaise with contract design teams, fabricators, and steel installers
• Provide supporting details during the fabrication and erection process

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' UK-based steel detailing experience (essential)
• Tekla Structures or StruCAD - minimum 3 years' active use preferred
• Thorough knowledge of hot-rolled steel and architectural steelwork
• Ability to read and interpret Architect's and Structural Engineer's drawings
• Full right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Please note this role is fully office-based in Dudley - remote working is not available.
