Job description
A leading structural steel specialist is currently looking for a permanent Senior Draughtsman to produce GAs and fabrication drawings for structural steelwork projects in Buckinghamshire.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent.
Duties:
- Producing GAs and fabrication drawings from building plans using 2D & 3D CAD software
- Producing fabrication details methodically and accurately for the fabrication shop
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations (UKCA marking, Building Control)
- Quantifying materials required for each project
- Liaising with the fabrication team, contractors, architects and engineers on drawing queries
Requirements:
- AutoCAD: 2 years' experience (preferred)
- Experience using Tekla Structures software
