Party Wall Surveyor

Location: Extensive travel throughout England & Wales (predominantly London & the Home Counties)

Type: Full-time

About Us

Our client is a multi-award-winning, leading party wall firm operating across England and Wales. They are highly respected within the sector, regularly instructed as both Building Owner's Surveyor and Adjoining Owner's Surveyor. With around 80% of their work acting for Building Owners and 20% for Adjoining Owners, they pride themselves on delivering a professional, customer-focused service with efficiency and expertise.

Our client's Director is a recognised authority in the field: he trains surveyors on behalf of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and sits on their professional interview panel. Joining our client offers a rare opportunity to work directly alongside him, gaining invaluable mentorship, insight, and career development.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and ambitious Party Wall Surveyor to join a growing team. This role will involve:

  • Managing party wall matters from initial instruction through to award, working independently and to strict statutory deadlines.
  • Extensive travel across England and Wales, with a strong focus on London and the Home Counties.
  • Representing both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners in a wide variety of projects.
  • Undertaking networking and business development activities to expand our client base and further enhance the firm's reputation.
  • Delivering an exceptional client experience - we expect nothing less than an obsession with customer service.

Requirements

They are looking for a highly professional surveyor who can demonstrate:

  • A degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Chartered membership of RICS, CIOB or CABE.
  • At least five years' proven experience acting as a Party Wall Surveyor.
  • Full membership of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors or the Pyramus & Thisbe Society.
  • The ability to work independently, efficiently and to statutory timescales.
  • Strong communication skills, professional presence, and the ability to foster trust with clients.
  • A proactive, business-minded approach with enthusiasm for networking and growth.

Why Join?

  • Work directly with a Director who trains the industry's future surveyors and contributes to professional standards at the highest level.
  • Be part of a firm with a strong national reputation and award-winning service.
  • Gain exposure to a wide variety of projects across London, the Home Counties, and beyond.
  • Enjoy genuine career development opportunities and professional growth.
  • Professional subscriptions paid (RICS/CIOB/CABE/FPWS/PTS).

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a dynamic, respected practice and to play a central role in its continued growth.
