Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new build construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to the project programme
· Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
· Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to senior management
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures
· Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
· Monitor and enforce quality control standards on all works carried out
· Maintain daily records, including site diaries and progress reports
· Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
· Manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics
· Identify and resolve any issues that may impact the progress of the project
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build residential or commercial projects
· Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate
· CSCS Manager's card (Black or White)
· First Aid at Work qualification
· Strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety legislation, and building regulations
· Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project momentum
· IT proficiency, including use of project management and reporting tools
Desirable Qualifications:
· NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
· Temporary Works Coordinator
· Fire Marshal Training
· Scaffold Inspection Certification
Working Hours:
· Typically Monday to Friday, 9-5 with potential for weekend overtime
