  • Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to monitor financial performance, control costs, and manage change.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, legal, and statutory requirements, as well as company health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the management of procurement schedules, plant, labour, and materials to ensure timely delivery in line with project programmes.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage project risk, identify potential issues early, and implement practical solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with company sustainability objectives, BIM processes, and digital engineering standards where applicable.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to site teams, promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of M&E building services, including mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercially aware with good financial acumen.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with modern methods of construction, BIM processes, and digital construction workflows (advantageous).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale M&E projects within the construction sector.
  • SMSTS certification essential.
  • CSCS Black/Platinum card preferred.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (desirable).
  • Experience of working within a digitally enabled project environment would be an advantage.

Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client, a business known for its collaborative culture, engineering expertise, and commitment to delivering projects that improve the built environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering major projects, contributing to operational excellence and enjoying opportunities for personal and professional development within a forward-thinking, supportive business.
