Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Labourer to support day-to-day operations on a busy new build construction site. The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, maintain site cleanliness and safety, and carry out general labouring duties to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting tradespeople with basic tasks as required (e.g., bricklaying, carpentry, groundwork)
· Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
· Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including site tidying and waste removal
· Erecting and dismantling temporary structures, such as fencing and signage
· Moving tools and equipment around the site
· Supporting with basic groundwork, including digging and trenching
· Reporting any health and safety hazards to the Site Manager
· Following all health and safety regulations and site rules
· Performing other general labouring tasks as directed by the Site Manager or Foreman
Requirements:
· Previous experience working on a construction site (preferred but not essential)
· Valid CSCS card (required)
· Physically fit and capable of manual handling and outdoor work in all weather conditions
· Awareness of health and safety practices
· Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
· Punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Desirable Qualifications (not essential):
· Manual Handling Certificate
· Asbestos Awareness
· First Aid at Work
Working Hours:
· Typically Monday to Friday, 9-5 with potential for weekend overtime
